We're thrilled to have you stay and hope you enjoy the peace and beauty of the North Georgia mountains. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for everyone, including future guests, please take a moment to review our house rules:
Respecting the Property:
Check-in: Check-in time is after 3:00 PM. Please let us know your estimated arrival time.
Check-out: Check-out time is by 11:00 AM. This allows us time to prepare the property for our next guests.
Quiet Hours: Please respect our neighbors and observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.. Keep noise levels to a minimum during these times, especially outdoors.
Trash & Recycling: We will dispose of your trash after your stay. Please do not leave any garbage outside of the home. Big Canoe visitors may use the community centralized trash collection facility located near the North Gate for household trash, aluminum and metal recycling.
Cleanliness: Please leave the property in a reasonably tidy condition. We understand you're on vacation, but excessive mess may result in additional cleaning fees.
Furniture & Decor: Please do not rearrange furniture or remove any items from the property.
Damage: Please report any spills, stains, or damages immediately. We understand accidents happen, and we'd like the opportunity to address them promptly. Guests may be responsible for the cost of significant damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Linens & Towels: Please use the provided linens and towels appropriately. Avoid using bath towels for cleaning or outdoor activities.
Safety & Security:
Campfires: Outdoor fires not fueled by propane are not permitted in Big Canoe; violators are subject to a $5,000 fine by the community.
Grilling: Please use it responsibly by Adults only. It is important to clean grates after use to avoid attracting wildlife. Turn off propane tank after use, no charcoal, and use in designated area only.
Wildlife: Big Canoe recognized as a nature preserve by Georgia Audubon and is registered with the Atlanta Audubon Society as an official Wildlife Sanctuary. The community has established policies to protect native wildlife, including prohibiting feeding, hunting, trapping, or harming wildlife. Please do not feed any wildlife. Secure all food properly to avoid attracting animals. Be aware of potential encounters and familiarize yourself with bear safety.
Hiking & Outdoor Activities: If you plan on hiking or engaging in outdoor activities, please be aware of your surroundings, wear appropriate footwear, and take necessary safety precautions.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside and outside the property. Evidence of smoking will result in an additional cleaning fee.
Carbon Monoxide & Smoke Detectors: Please do not tamper with the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Your safety is our priority.
Doors & Windows: Please ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when you are away from the property and at night.
Guest Guidelines:
Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests allowed at the property is 8. Please adhere to this limit.
Visitors: Overnight visitors are not permitted unless agreed upon in advance.
Parties & Events: Parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited unless prior written consent has been given. Our property is intended for peaceful enjoyment.
NO Pets: Pets are not allowed.

We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the property.
By booking this property, you agree to abide by these house rules. Failure to comply with these rules may result in eviction without refund.
